Ashless Gas Engine Oil
PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONGEO
AA Oils are specially designed for the lubrication of the crankcase
and power compressor cylinders of two and four cycle natural gas
engines, both naturally aspirated and turbocharged. GEO AA OILS
are formulated with high quality paraffinic base stocks, ashless
detergent dispersants, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, and
anti-wear additives.
GEO AA Oils contain "state of the art"
chemistry to control the inherent problems associated with oxidation
and nitration in severe gas engine service. Gas engine oils must
be able to effectively lubricate under conditions of continuous
high load and high operating temperatures, while at the same time
prevent the formation of harmful sludge, carbon and ash deposits.
GEO AA Oils' excellent dispersancy and high temperature detergency,
combined with the built-in oxidation resistance of the paraffinic
base stocks and additives to resist oxidation and nitration, provide
unexcelled engine cleanliness during operation. Use of these oils
effectively suppresses the formation of heavy ash and carbon deposits
on valves, spark plugs, rings, ports, piston heads, combustion
chamber surfaces and controls accumulation of crankcase sludges,
resulting in increased power output and reduced oil consumption.
GEO AA Oils can reduce the frequency of oil filter and spark plug
changes and extend engine overhaul periods. The need for cleaning
of port deposits can also be reduced.
Effective rust and corrosion inhibitors protect metal
surfaces from attack by corrosive engine acids or moisture due
to condensation. GEO AA Oils are recommended for engines known
to have "chronic bearing corrosion" problems. Superior
anti-wear agents reduce system wear and permit trouble-free engine
operation with minimum maintenance.
GEO AA Oils are available in two different viscosity
grades to accommodate a range of operational conditions.
APPLICATION
GEO AA Oils are recommended for use in medium and
high speed, high performance engines operating on natural gas
or synthetic natural gas and fuel. They are suitable for use in
both two cycle and four cycle gas engines, both naturally aspirated
and turbocharged, where the manufacturer specifies the use of
an ashless engine oil. GEO AA Oils can be used in the crankcase
and for cylinder lubrication. Typical applications for GEO AA
Oils would include natural gas engines such as those made by Caterpillar,
Ingersoll-Rand Category I and II, International and Cooper Bessemer
two cycles. Always consult the original equipment operating manual
to ensure the proper oil recommendation for gas engine service.
