GEO LA

Low-Ash Gas Fueled Engine Oil

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

GEO LA is a premium engine oil for the lubrication of the crankcase and power compressor cylinders of spark-ignited, two and four-cycle gas fueled engines. This oil is formulated with select low carbon forming base stocks and is fortified with ashless dispersants, effective oxidation and corrosion inhibitors and anti-wear agents.

Oxidation and nitration are common causes of oil thickening in gas fueled engines. The base stocks and additive package in GEO LA provide excellent dispersancy and good high temperature detergency to reduce deposit formation due to nitration and to ensure minimal carbon and ash deposits during service. GEO LA is available in two viscosity grades - SAE 30 and SAE 40.

APPLICATION

GEO LA oil covers a wide range of gas fueled engine requirements where a low ash product is specified. It is suitable for use in engines burning gaseous fuels such as clean natural gas, sour gas, sewer gas, well-head gas, methane, ethane and others. This oil meets the performance requirements of major engine manufacturers, such as Caterpillar, Clark, Climax, Cooper-Bessemer, Fairbanks-Morse, Roline, White-Superior (naturally aspirated) and lnternational Harvester. GEO LA also meets or exceeds the requirements of Ingersoll-Rand Class I, Class II, and Class III natural gas engines. It is also recommended for use in Waukesha Class A type engines (requiring low/moderate oil ash levels).
