A Premium Motor Oil For Heavy-Duty Diesel and Gasoline Engines
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL provides premium quality
service in both diesel and gasoline engines. It is specially formulated
for heavy-duty service in diesel engines in both on- and off-highway
vehicles and equipment.
PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL is available in single
SAE viscosity grades 10W, 20W-20, 30, 40, and 50, and as multi-grade
SAE 15W-40. The 15W-40, SAE 30 and 40 exceed the performance requirements
for Mack EO-K/2 and Detroit Diesel 6V92-TA. The SAE 15W-40 is
approved by Mack under the EO-L specification. PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE
SAE 15W-40 exceeds the requirements of the Caterpillar 1N engine
test, and meets the requirements of API Service Classes CG-4,
CF-4, CF-2, CF/SH. The SAE 30 meets the requirements of API Service
Classes CF-2, CF/SH. The SAE 40 and SAE 50 meet the requirements
of API Service CF-2, CF/SH. All other grades meet the requirements
of API Service CF and SH.
Newly designed low emission diesel engines actually
tend to produce more soot, however, this soot is captured in the
engine oil and does not go out the exhaust. PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE
MOTOR OIL contains the latest development in dispersant technology
to resist oil thickening caused by this soot. The dispersants
minimize sludge formation and effectively keep particles in suspension
to extend filter life.
PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL's high-temperature detergents
help control formation of combustion chamber deposits, piston
deposits, and varnish that could lead to ring sticking and breakage.
It neutralizes acids commonly found in diesel engines, keeping
corrosive wear to a minimum. PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL provides
protection from rust and corrosion, and reduces low-temperature
deposits that are common problems in gasoline engines. By providing
excellent protection for engine components, it helps extend engine
life.
PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE SAE 15W-40 Motor Oil is formulated
with the revolutionary Pennzstar molecule. This means that
LONG-LIFE SAE 15W-40 will maintain its viscosity under conditions
of high temperature and high stress, protecting moving parts from
friction, wear and engine destroying metal-to-metal contact
PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE SAE 15W-40 has outstanding resistance
to "shearing out" of viscosity grade, so it can continue
to provide the oil film and wear protection necessary, even under
extended drain interval conditions.
APPLICATION
PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL is truly a universal
oil. It is recommended for use in over-the-road diesel trucks,
heavy-duty construction equipment, mining equipment, oil field
engines, farm vehicles and passenger cars. Because it is also
recommended for gasoline engines, PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL
provides mixed-fleet operators the convenience of a single line
of motor oils for all vehicles.
PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL can be used with complete
confidence for extended oil drain intervals when combined with
used oil monitoring (Pennz-Test®) maintenance practices.

PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL meets or exceeds the
performance requirements of Caterpillar, Cummins, Navistar, American
Motors, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Detroit Diesel (low ash
1% max.) and Mack EO-L.
PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL meets the performance
requirements of military Commercial Item Descriptions (C.I.D.)
A-A-52039A and A-A-52306. PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL also meets
the transmission fluid requirements of Caterpillar TO-2 and Allison
C-4 specifications. PENNZOIL LONG-LIFE MOTOR OIL is recommended
wherever engine manufacturers specify the use of an engine oil
meeting API Service Classification CG-4, CF-4, CF-2, CF and SH,
or any combination such as CF/SH, CF-4/SH or CG-4/SH. Always refer
to the vehicle owner's manual for the correct viscosity choice.
